The person must have a strong interest in music and musical instruments, a clear goal for studying abroad, and strong motivation to study. The person also must meet the requirements written below.
1Completed, or expecting to complete by April 1 of enrollment year, twelve-year school education curriculum; or having academic ability equivalent to a senior high school graduation, and attaining the age of 18 years.
2Japanese language ability must not obstruct one’s study, meeting one of the following requirements:
a. Holding N1 or N2 of the “Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)”
b. Scoring over 200 point in the “Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)”
c. Completing over 6 months of Japanese language education with good record and high attendance, at a Japanese language education facility that is designated by the Minister of Justice
d. Scoring over 400 points in BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test
e. Completing over 1 year of education in the school prescribed in Article 1 of the School Education Act
The conditional admission / eligibility program at MI Tokyo is designed for international students who are academically qualified to apply for admission to MI Tokyo, but have an insufficient Japanese language ability. Conditional admission is an opportunity for you to study for at least six months Japanese language at one of partner Japanese language schools, until you obtain the required Japanese language proficiency. Students who are offered conditional admission must submit MY Tokyo application upon achieving the minimum Japanese language proficiency required; ESP on campus scholarship IV is applied
3Sufficient fund for tuition and living expenses is required.

MI Tokyo’s conditional admission
MI Tokyo offers conditional admission to academically qualified international students who need to improve their Japanese proficiency.
In conjunction with the Japanese-Language support prospective students: MI Tokyo has various partnerships between Japanese language institutes.
Once you have been granted conditional admission, you will also need to apply for admsision to MI Tokyo approved Japanese program.
