Dead line for International Students Admission for April 2019

Musicians Institute Tokyo would inform international students that the application deadline for 2019 is up until October 20, 2018 due to capacity. Only students who have submitted an application by the deadline and have sent the required documents will be considered for admission test and interviews on 10th November.

Musicians Institute Tokyo is recognized by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT).ICC(International Community Center) of MI Tokyo makes an application to the Tokyo immigration office for a Certificate of Eligibility for Residence Status on the foreign student`s behalf. When you graduate, the title of `Diploma` established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, Technology is granted.

FAQ

Is Japanese the main language of all courses?
Yes, all courses are taught in Japanese. ESP offers conditional admission to academically qualified students who need to improve their Japanese proficiency. We also help you find a Japanese school to study at, with a college student visa.
Are there scholarships for international students studying at MI Tokyo?
Yes, you can apply for scholarships to finance your education. Please refer to the MI Tokyo admission book for international students.
What about part-time jobs and work permit?
Intenational students coming to Japan with a visa status of `student` may engage in part-tiem work as long as the work does not interfere with their studies. If you would like to engage in part-time work, you need to obtain permission from the Minister of Justice in advance (Article 19 of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act).
What kind of accommodation is there?
Don`t worry about living by yourself in Japan. To help you feel safe and get settled in Japan, we introduce college dormitories or real estate agents to help you to find an apartments or shared housing facilities.
Is tranferring to another university possible after graduation?
MI Tokyo is an accredited post-secondary education institutions providing professional education for students wishing to pursue professional careers in the music industry. Graduates of MI Tokyo can choose to begin their careers or continue their studies by transferring to a university depending on their program of study and the policies of the accepting institution.
Can I apply to MI Tokyo evening class as an international student?
